Distribution

In Costa Rica on the Meseta Central Oriental and Occidental, the Pacific slopes of the volcanoes Poás and Barva, the Atlantic slopes of the volcanoes Irazú and Turrialba and the slopes of the Cordillera de Talamanca, 1060–2286 m elevation; possibly to western Panama.
