Eleutherodactylus (Syrrhophus) grunwaldi Reyes-Velasco, Ahumada-Carrillo, Burkhardt, and Devitt, 2015, Zootaxa, 3914: 303. Holotype: MZFC 27472, by original designation. Distribution

Tropical deciduous forest in the Sierra de Manantlán in the municipalities of Minatitlán, Colima, and Tolimán, Jalisco, Mexico; probably distributed throughout the Sierra de Manantlán, and may range north into some of the other coastal mountains of Jalisco (Sierra de Cacoma, Sierra de Talpa); found between 1300 and 2200 m in the Sierra de Manantlán Biosphere Reserve and at lower elevations (~800 m) in the Grutas de Toxín in Jalisco, Mexico.
