Opinion 1024, Anonymous, 1974, Bull. Zool. Nomencl., 31: 130–132, stated that Syrrhophus latodactylus is not to be used in preference of Batrachyla longipes when considered synonyms.

Distribution

Moderate elevations (650–2000 m) along the Sierra Madre Oriental in pine-oak woodland from central Nuevo León and adjacent Coahuila through San Luis Potosí to northern Hidalgo, Mexico.
