Lynchius tabaconas Motta, Chaparro, Pombal, Guayasamin, De la Riva, and Padial, 2016, Herpetol. Monogr., 30: 127. Holotype:  MHNC 8637, by original designation. Type locality: "Quebrada del Vino (NSTN), District Tabaconas, Province San Ignacio, Department of Cajamarca, Peru, 3270 m (5°09′53.31″S, 79°12′4.56″W)".

Distribution

Known from the type locality (in Sector Namballe inside Tabaconas-Namballe National Sanctuary, in an area between 2960 m and 3115 m), within the ecotone between the dwarf forest or montane evergreen forest (above 2700 m) and paramo (above 3100 m) from northern Andes, Provincia San Ignacio, Department of Cajamarca, Peru.
