Distribution

Known only from two localities in the Río Utcubamba Basin, the northern extreme of Cordillera de Colán at elevations from 1977 to 2006 m elevation, Amazonas Department, Peru.

Comment

The sister taxon of Lynchius simmonsii according to the original publication, where morphology and molecular phylogenetics were address.
