Comment

Unassigned to species group but similar to some members of the Pristimantis unistrigatus group according to the original publication. Not assignable to species group according to Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 127. Señaris, Lampo, Rojas-Runjaic, and Barrio-Amorós, 2014, Guía Ilust. Anf. Parque Nac. Canaima: 90–91, provided a photograph and a brief account for the Parque Nacional de Canaima, Venezuela. Jablonski, Grul'a, Barrio-Amorós, and Kok, 2017, Salamandra, 53: 473–478, discussed the phylogenetics of a series of Pristimantis on the summits of the eastern tepui chain, suggested that Pristimantis "J" of McDiarmid and Donnelly, 2005, in Donnelly et al. (eds.), Ecol. Evol. Tropics: 518, is Pristimantis aureoventris (although they suggested this needs to be corroborated by molecular evidence), and discussed the range of this species. See Barrio-Amorós, Rojas-Runjaic, and Señaris, 2019, Amph. Rept. Conserv., 13 (1: e180): 113, for comments on range and literature.
