Type locality: "Ecuador, Provincia Morona Santiago, Cantón Gualaquiza, Parroquia Bomboiza, in the buffer zone of El Quimi Biological Reserve, tepui plateau on the eastern side of the Quimi River (3.5182º S, 78.3913º W), 1994 m a.s.l."
