Type locality: "COLOMBIA, Departamento de Cauca: Municipio de Inzá, vereda Rio Sucio, Km 66-67 (near where the road cross the Río Sucio) carretera Popayán--Inzá, 2660-70 m.s.n.m."

Comment

Most similar and likely closely related to Eleutherodactylus spinosus according to the original publication. In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) unistrigatus species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 128. Not assignable to a species group according to Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 128.
