Ansonia latiffi Wood, Grismer, Ahmad, and Senawi, 2008, Herpetologica, 64: 323. Holotype: ZRC 1.12418, by original designation. Type locality: "Sungai Lembing logging camp (3° 52.26″ N; 103° 3′ 0.15″E), Pahang, West Malaysia".

Comment

Most similar to Ansonia leptopus according to the original publication. Sumarli, Grismer, Anuar, Muin, and Quah, 2015, Check List, 11(4, Art. 1679): 6, reported a specimen from the base of Mount Lawite, Terregganu, West Malaysia, and mentioned that they suspected that a previous record of Ansonia malayana from Mount Tebu probably applies to this species. Chan and Grismer, 2019, BMC Evol. Biol., 19(95): 3, suggested that the sequence divergence between this species and Ansonia leptopus is so low (below 3%) that they may be conspecific.
