Comment

Removed from the synonym of Bufo burmanus by Yang, 2008, in Yang and Rao (ed.), Amph. Rept. Yunnan: 59, where it had been placed by Yang, Liu, and Rao, 1996, Zool. Res., Kunming, 17: 353-359 (according to Rao, Yang, and Wang, 1998, Russ. J. Herpetol., 5: 67). These authors seem to have disagreed implicitly or missed that Bufo burmanus was placed in the synonymy of Bufo pageoti by Dubois and Ohler, 1999, J. South Asian Nat. Hist., 4: 162. See brief accounts (as Torrentophryne tuberospinia) by Zhao and Yang, 1997, Amph. Rept. Hengduan Mountains Region: 76-77, and Yang, 2008, in Yang and Rao (ed.), Amph. Rept. Yunnan: 59-61. See comment under Bufo record regarding Torrentophryne. Not recognized by  Fei, Ye, and Jiang, 2012, Colored Atlas Chinese Amph. Distr., suggesting an implied synonymy with another member of the Torrentophryne clade.
