Distribution

Known only from the Mossamedes District of coastal southwestern Angola on granite inselbergs.

Comment

In the Bufo vertebralis group, most similar to Bufo dombensis, according to the original publication. Channing, 2001, Amph. Cent. S. Afr.: 73, provided an account. Not seen since the initial publication, according to Liedtke, Müller, Rödel, Menegon, Gonwouo, Barej, Gvoždík, Schmitz, Channing, Nagel, and Loader, 2016, Evolution, 70: 1717–1733. See distribution map in Ceríaco, Marques, Bandeira, Agarwal, Stanley, Bauer, Heinicke, and Blackburn, 2018, ZooKeys, 780: 112. Marques, Ceríaco, Blackburn, and Bauer, 2018, Proc.
