Distribution

Known only from its type locality (Miazi Alto, 1260 m elevation) in the Cordillera del Cóndor, Zamora Chinchipe Province, Ecuador.

Comment

According to the original publication, previously confused with Nymphargus chancas, which, with the naming of Nymphargus colomai, is restricted to Peru.
