Hyalinobatrachium kawense Castroviejo-Fisher, Vilà, Ayarzagüena, Blanc, and Ernst, 2011, Zootaxa, 3132: 23. Holotype: MNCN 44825, by original designation. Type locality: "Rivière de Kaw (04°36′ 33″ N, 52° 03′ 25″ W; 1-10 m), French Guiana".

Flooded forest of Rivière de Kaw in French Guiana and from the Mitaraka Massif in southeastern French Guiana on the Amapá, Brazil, border; Sipaliwini Nature Reserve, southern Suriname.

Comment

Fouquet, Vacher, Kadosoe, Jairam, and Ouboter, 2015, Herpetol. Notes, 8: 63–68, reported the species from the Sipaliwini Nature Reserve, southern Suriname, and suggested that the overall range is poorly elucidated. Fouquet, Vidal, and Dewynter, 2019, Zoosystema, 41: 359-374, reported the species from the Mitaraka Massif in southwestern French Guiana, on the border with Amapá, Brazil and commented on the range.
