Distribution

Known from only five localities in southwestern Brazilian Amazonia: four in the State of Acre (municipalities of Manoel Urbano, Rio Branco, Bujari and Feijó) and one in the State of Amazonas (municipality of Boca do Acre), 125 to 184 m elevation.

Previously confused with Allobates gasconi, according to the original publication, where molecular markers, advertisement call, morphometrics and comparative adult and larval morphology, and natural history were detailed.
