Type locality: "near Old Harbour [=Puerto Viejo], on the East coast, [Cantón de Limón, Provincia Limón,]" Costa Rica.

Distribution

Extreme southern Nicaragua and Costa Rica through Panama and northwestern and western Colombia (southern Córdoba south along the Pacific plain) to northwestern Ecuador (Esmeraldas and Pichincha provinces), 0–970 m elevation.
