Type locality: "primary forest at the Brown Trail (0.358389N, 79.708364 W; 478 m) in Reserva Biológica Bilsa (RBB), Quinindé, Provincia de Esmeraldas, Ecuador". Distribution

Known from the Reserva Biológica Bilsa, Provincia Esmeraldas, borderline between Esmeraldas and Manabí provinces, in the Chocoan region of Pacific northern coastal Ecuador, from elevations of between 426 and 515 m.
