Distribution

Eastern slope of the western Cordillera and western slope of the Cordillera Central, Valle del Cauca, to Sonsón, Antioquia, Colombia, ca. 1500 m elevation.

Not assigned to species group by Rivero, 1990 "1988", Mem. Soc. Cienc. Nat. La Salle, 48: 3-32. Transferred from Colostethus to Leucostethus on phylogenetic grounds by Marín-Castaño, Molina-Zuluaga, Restrepo, Cano, and Daza-R., 2018, Zootaxa, 4461: 364, who mapped the range  and discussed its systematics.
