Colostethus eleutherodactylus Duellman, 2004, Sci. Pap. Nat. Hist. Mus. Univ. Kansas, 35: 21. Holotype: KU 211814, by original designation. Type locality: "16 km ESE of Shapaja (ca. 06° 37′ S, 76° 15′ W), 360 m, Provincia de San Martín, Departamento de San Martín, Peru".
