Indochine: 404–406, and Taylor, 1962, Univ. Kansas Sci. Bull., 43: 360–362, provided accounts of Elachyglossa gyldenstolpeiHeyer, 1971, Fieldiana, Zool., 58: 61–82, reported on the call (as Rana pileata) from Thailand. Ohler and Dubois, 1999, Zool. Scripta, 23: 269–271,provided a detailed acounts of morphology, morphometrics, and synonymy. Reported for southwestern Cambodia by Ohler, Swan, and Daltry, 2002, Raffles Bull. Zool., 50: 465–481. Nutphund, 2001, Amph. Thailand: 100, provided a brief characterization (as Elachyglossa gyldenstolpei) but, according to Ohler, 2003, Alytes, 21: 101, the frog so pictured is actually Limnonectes laticeps. Chan-ard, 2003, Photograph. Guide Amph. Thailand: 120–121, provided a very brief account (as Limnonectes pileatus), map for Thailand, and photograph. Stuart, 2005, Herpetol. Rev., 36: 477, provided specific localities in Laos. Neang and Holden, 2008, Field Guide Amph. Nat. Hist., 2019: 40–63, on specimens collected in Phnom Kulen National Park, northern Cambodia. Niyomwan, Srisom, and Pawangkhanant, 2019, Field Guide Amph.
