Distribution

High-gradient streams in forest and shrublands of the Wuling, Daba, Qinling, and Longment mountains of southern Shaanxi, southern Shanxi, southwestern Henan, southern Gansu, northeastern Sichuan, Hubei, northern Hunan, and western Anhui, China, 500–2700 m elevation.
