Gastrotheca helenae Dunn, 1944, Caldasia, 2: 404. Holotype: MLS 268, by original designation. Type locality: "Páramo de Tamá, [Departamento] Norte de Santander, Colombia. This mountain reaches an elevation of 3400 meters, and is south of Cúcuta and close to the Venezuelan border. Lower limit of 'páramo' zone is about 3000 meters".
