Gastrotheca phelloderma Lehr and Catenazzi, 2011, Herpetologica, 67: 450. Holotype: MUSM 27739, by original designation. Type locality: "Parque Nacional del Río Abiseo at Pampa del Cuy (07° 34.8′ S, 77° 27.0′ W; ca. 24 km NE Pataz at 3400 m elevation, Distrito de Huicungo, Provincia de Mariscal Cacerés, Región de San Martín, Peru".
