Distribution

Known only from the vicinity of the type locality in the Apurimac drainage, La Mar Province, at 694 m elevation and from the vicinity of San Antonio, also in the Apurimac drainage and La Mar province (12°55’46.8”S, 73°32’3.3”W; 693 m elevation), Ayacucho Department, and Boca Kiatari Native Community, Satipo province, Junin Department, Peru (11°31’38.9”S, 74°24’40.2”W; 210 m elevation).

In the Dendropsophus leucophyllatus group according to the original publication. In the Dendropsophus leucophyllatus group of Orrico, Grant, Faivovich, Rivera-Correa, Rada, Lyra, Cassini, Valdujo, Schargel, Machado, Wheeler, Barrio-Amorós, Loebmann, Moravec, Zina, Solé, Sturaro, Peloso, Suárez, and Haddad, 2021, Cladistics, 37: 73–105. Chávez, Barboza, and Thompson, 2021, Amph. Rept. Conserv., 15: 311–317, reported on calls, coloration in  life, range (including a map and new records), and conservation status.
