Hyla nahdereri Lutz and Bokermann, 1963, Copeia, 1963: 559. Syntypes: MNRJ 3294-96, by original designation. Type locality: "at Estrada Saraiva, outside and slightly below São Bento do Sul, a small town in northern Santa Catarina, Brazil (26° 14′ 55" S, 49° 22′ 50" W, 800 m alt.)".

In the Hyla marmorata group according to the original publication. In the Dendropsophus marmoratus group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 91. Orrico, Lingnau, and Giasson, 2009, S. Am. J. Herpetol., 4: 295–299, reported on the advertisement call. Conte, Nomura, Machado, Kwet, Lingnau, and Rossa-Feres, 2010, Biota Neotrop., São Paulo, 10: 201–224, provided new records from Paraná , provided a dot map, and discussed natural history and the advertisement call. Teixeira, Seger, Targueta, Orrico, and Lourenço, 2016, Comp.
