Hyla piceigularis Ruiz-Carranza and Lynch, 1982, Caldasia, 13: 659. Holotype: ICN 5180, by original designation. Type locality: "Cabeceras del río Luisito (tributary del río Oibita), Município El Encino, Departamento Santander, vertiente oriental de la Cordillera, Colombia: altura 1.750 m.s.n.m., Long. 73° 17′ 17″ W de Greenwich, Lat. 6° 5′ 54″ N".
