Hyla micromembrana Tyler, 1963, Trans. R. Soc. S. Aust., 86: 121. Holotype: SAMA R4150, by original designation. Type locality: "at an elevation of 7,500 ft. on Mt. Podamp, Wahgi—Sepik Divide, near Nondugl", Western Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea.

Distribution

Snow Mountains in eastern Papua (Indonesia) to Huon Peninsula and Mount Obree (Central Province) as well as Hunstein Mountains (East Sepik Province) and Mount Suckling (Milne Bay Province), Papua New Guinea (see comment).

Rev., 37: 364-368, provided records for Central and East Sepik Provinces, Papua New Guinea. Menzies, 2006, Frogs New Guinea & Solomon Is.: 137, provided a brief account and considered this species to be in his Litoria pratti group and who regarded it likely that this species could be found anywhere in the central highlands. Kraus, 2013, Herpetol. Rev., 44: 278, provided a record from Mount Suckling, Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea.
