Comment

For discussion see Tyler, 1968, Zool. Verh., Leiden, 96: 139. In the Litoria aruensis group (= Litoria gracilenta group) according to Tyler and Davies, 1978, Aust. J. Zool., Suppl. Ser., 27 (63): 10. Menzies and Tyler, 2004, Aust. J. Zool., 52: 203, partitioned the Litoria gracilenta group and placed this species in the Litoria chloris group. Menzies, 2006, Frogs New Guinea & Solomon Is.: 146, provided a brief account and included this in his Litoria iris group. Richards, Oliver, Krey, and Tjaturadi, 2009, Zootaxa, 2277: 8-10, provided additional data on morphology and natural history. Excluded by implication from the Litoria aruensis (now in Dendropsophus) by Duellman, Marion, and Hedges, 2016, Zootaxa, 4104: 37.
