In the Litoria rubella group of Tyler and Davies, 1978, Aust. J. Zool., Suppl. Ser., 27 (63): 41. In the Litoria wisselensis group; see Tyler and Davies, 1983, Copeia, 1983: 803-808. Menzies, 2006, Frogs New Guinea & Solomon Is.: 123-125, provided a brief account and regarded it as a member of his Litoria rubella group.
