Distribution

Across the southern foothills of Papua New Guinea’s Central Cordillera between the upper Strickland River basin in the west and the upper Kikori River basin in the east, Southern Highlands, Papua New Guinea; possibly as far west as as the upper Fly River basin near the Papua, Indonesia, border.

Comparative morphology, molecular markers, advertisement call, and natural history detailed in the original publication, where it was noted to have been confused with Litoria nigropunctata prior to its naming.
