Comment

See Tyler, 1968, Zool. Verh., Leiden, 96: 100. In the Litoria aruensis group (= Litoria gracilenta group) according to Tyler and Davies, 1978, Aust. J. Zool., Suppl. Ser., 27 (63): 10. Menzies and Tyler, 2004, Aust. J. Zool., 52: 203, partitioned the Litoria gracilenta group and placed this species in the Litoria chloris group. Richards and Oliver, 2006, Zootaxa, 1295: 41–60, defined the Litoria graminea complex, containing this species, Litoria dux, and Litoria sauroni, and provided an account for Litoria graminea, including a redescription of the holotype, and discussion of the range. Menzies, 2006, Frogs New Guinea & Solomon Is.: 127, provided a brief account. Shea and Kraus, 2007, Zootaxa, 1514: 37–60, commented on the type specimens of Litoria dux Richards and Oliver, 2006. Kraus, 2018, Zootaxa, 4457: 264–284, provided an account and suggested that the original study of Litoria dux rested on mixed samples of Litoria graminea (including the holotype) and Litoria sauroni
