In the Boophis luteus group, according to the original publication. Glaw and Vences, 2007, Field Guide Amph. Rept. Madagascar, Ed. 3: 168-169, provided an account. Randrianiaina, Strauss, Glos, and Vences, 2012, ZooKeys, 178: 59-124, reported on larval morphology.
