Holotype: ZSM 183/2005, by original designation. Type locality: "Andohahela National Park (24.5440° S, 46.7141° E, 1548 m a.s.l.), Anosy region, southeastern Madagascar". Known from southeastern Madagascar from (1) the type locality, Andohahela National Park, (2) Pic d’Ivohibe Special Reserve, and (3) the Anosy Mountain chain.

Comment

In the Gephyromantis blanci complex of Miralles, Köhler, Glaw, Wollenberg Valero, Crottini, Rosa, Du Preez, Gehring, Vieites, Ratsoavina, and Vences, 2023, Salamandra, 59: 1–31, provided morphological and molecular markers, phylogenetic placement, and a dot map as well as call information.
