Gephyromantis (Gephyromantis) mafy Vieites, Wollenberg, and Vences, 2012, Zootaxa, 3344: 36. Holotype: ZSM 1889/2008, by original designation. Type locality: "Mahasoa campsite, near Ambodisakoa village, northeast of Vohimena at the northeastern edge of Lake Alaotra, Faritany (province) of Toamasina, northern central east of Madagascar, 17.29769° S, 48.70199° E, 1032 m asl".

Comment

Closely related to Gephyromantis eiselti and Gephyromantis thelenae according to the original publication. Miralles, Köhler, Glaw, Wollenberg Valero, Crottini, Rosa, Du Preez, Gehring, Vieites, Ratsoavina, and Vences, 2023, Salamandra, 59: 1–41, placed this in their Gephyromantis eiselti complex and discussed its relationships and provided a dot map.
