Gephyromantis pedronoi Vences, Köhler, Andreone, Craul, Crottini, Du Preez, Preick, Rancilhac, Rödel, Scherz, Streicher, Hofreiter, and Glaw, 2021, Spixiana, München, 44: 185. Holotype: ZSM 1798/2008, by original designation. Type locality: "from a site called Mariavaratra in Ranomafana National Park, southeastern Madagascar, . . . . Geographical coordinates of the precise collecting site are not available, but Mariavaratra is located approximately at 21.261° S, 47.419° E.".
