Distribution

Known only from the type locality, Basha Nature Reserve at approximately 900 m elevation, Congjiang County, southeastern Guizhou near the Guangxi border, China.

Comment

Mostly closely related to Leptobrachella maoershanensis, according to molecular data in the original publication, where adult and larval morphology as well as advertisement call were described. Shen, Li, Liu, Li, Xiao, and Su, 2023, Herpetozoa, Wien, 36: 273–280, reported on the advertisement call.
