Vietnamophryne vuquangensis Hoang, Jiang, Nguyen, Orlov, Le, Nguyen, Nguyen, Nguyen, Nguyen, and Ziegler, 2021, Rev. Suisse Zool., 128: 210. Holotype: VNMN 010489, by original designation. Type locality: "in evergreen tropical forest at Vu Quang National Park, Ha Tinh Province, Vietnam (18°15’47.9”N 105°20’25.1”E at an elevation of 966 m a.s.l.)".

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Vu Quang National Park, Vu Quang District, Ha Tinh Province, Vietnam), near to the Laos border.

Comment

Most closely related to Vietnamophryne inexpectata according to the original publication, where molecular markers and external morphology were detailed.
