Callula verrucosa Boulenger, 1904, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 7, 13: 131. Syntypes: BMNH 1904.1.26.18–20 (now reregistered as 1947.2.10.80–83 according to museum records) according to Parker, 1934, Monogr. Frogs Fam. Microhylidae: 81, and MCZ 2476 (2 specimens on exchange from BMNH) according to Barbour and Loveridge, 1929, Bull. Mus. Comp. Zool., 69: 235. Type locality: "Yunna Fu [= Kunming] (altitude about 6000 feet) .... garden of the Mission station", Yunnan Province, China.
