Microhyla aurantiventris Nguyen, Poyarkov, Nguyen, Nguyen, Tran, Gorin, Murphy, and Nguyen, 2019, Zootaxa, 4543: 562. Holotype: ITBCZ 4361, by original designation. Type locality: "bank of a small pool that formed after heavy rain nearby Ho Chi Minh Tay Road, Tram Lap Forest, Kon Von II Village, Dak Rong Commune, K’Bang District, Gia Lai Province (14.53994°N, 108.45104°E, ca. 1210 m a.s.l., . . .)", Vietnam. English Names

Orange-bellied Narrow-mouth Frog (original publication). 

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Kon Von II Village, K'Bang District, Gia Lai Province, Vietnam, 1210 m elevation) on the southern part of the Kon Tum Plateau, where it is expected to range more widely.

Comment

The sister taxon of Microhyla butleri according to the original publication. Gorin, Solovyeva, Hasan, Okamiya, Karunarathna, Pawangkhanant, de Silva, Juthong, Milto, Nguyen, Suwannapoom, Haas, Bickford, Das, and Poyarkov, 2020, PeerJ, 8 (e9411): 1–47, placed this species in their Microhyla butleri group.
