Distribution

Currently known only from the type locality in Kan Pauk, Yesagyo Township, Magway Division, Myanmar, at an elevation of 230 m; likely to be found in other arid areas of the Irrawaddy River Valley in the region of the Irrawaddy and Chindwin interfluve.

 Gorin, Solovyeva, Hasan, Okamiya, Karunarathna, Pawangkhanant, de Silva, Juthong, Milto, Nguyen, Suwannapoom, Haas, Bickford, Das, and Poyarkov, 2020, PeerJ, 8 (e9411): 1–47, placed this species in their Microhyla achatina group. Zug, 2022, Smithson. Contrib. Zool., 653: 31, briefly discussed identification, habitat, and range in Myanmar.
