Comment

Confused with Micryletta inormata prior to the resolution of the status of that taxon as a species complex by Alhadi, Hamidy, Farajallah, Munir, Atmaja, Garg, Biju, and Smith, 2019, Zootaxa, 4613: 111–126. Older literature of "Micryletta inornata" presumably pointing to this species includes:  Pillai, 1977, Proc. Indian Acad. Sci., Ser. B, 86: 135, and Dutta, 1997, Amph. India Sri Lanka: 62-63, provided relevant literature for Indian population. Mathew and Sen, 2010, Pict. Guide Amph. NE India: 68-69, who provided a brief characterization and photograph and noted the Manipur, northeastern India, record; Chanda, 2002, Handb. Indian Amph.: 40-41, provided a brief account (as Microhyla inornata) for the Andaman and Nicobar Is. See comments by Hakim, Trageser, Ghose, Das, Rashid, and Rahman, 2020, Check List, 16: 1239–1268, who reported the species from Lawachara National Park, Sylhet Division, northeastern Bangladesh. Miller, Zug, Wogan, Lee, and Mulcahy, 2021, Ichthyol. & Herpetol., 109: 245–257, reported the species in Kachin State, Myanmar, as part of a larger phylogenetic study. Zug, 2022, Smithson. Contrib. Zool., 653: 33, briefly discussed identification, habitat, and range in Myanmar.
