Comment

Mulcahy, Lee, Miller, Chand, Thura, and Zug, 2018, ZooKeys, 757: 95, provided a record from Taninthary Division, southern Myanmar. Chan-ard, Cota, and Makchai, 2011, Amph. E. Region Thailand: 130, detailed the distribution in Thailand. Munir, Hamidy, Matsui, Kusrini, and Nishikawa, 2020, Zool. Sci., Tokyo, 37: 295–301, discussed the species complex, naming another species from Sumatra and noting that Micryletta inornata lineata is closer to Micrylette erythropoda than to nominal Micryletta inornata. Zug and Mulcahy, 2020 "2019", Amph. Rept. S. Tanintharyiezembed: 49, provided a brief account, as Micryletta lineata, for South Tanintharyi, peninsular Myanmar, and first treated as a distinct species from Microhyla inornata, but without explanation. Subsequently, Miller, Zug, Wogan, Lee, and Mulcahy, 2021, Ichthyol. & Herpetol., 109: 245–257, provided mtDNA evidence for the taxonomic change and provided a map, literature review, and morphology. Literature prior to 2020 associated with Micryletta inornata (sensu lato, including Micryletta lineata) can be found in the comment under Micryletta inornata; they also suggested that the distinctiveness of Micryletta erythropoda from Micryletta lineata requires genetic confirmation. Zug, 2022, Smithson. Contrib. Zool., 653: 33, briefly discussed identification, habitat, and range in Myanmar.
