Distribution

Known the type locality (Suganthagiri, Wynaad District), north of the Palghat Gap, and, south of the Palghat Gap from the vicinity of Kesavanpara, Kerala, southern Western Ghats region, Peninsular India.

Comment

The original publication covered topics of molecular marks, adult and larval morphology, hand musculature, and advertisement call. Agashe, Ghosh, Dilshad, Sil, and Datta-Roy, 2023, J. Threatened Taxa, 15: 2290–2204, provided a new record from the Western Ghats of Kerala, India, from just south of the Palghat Gap, and provided a dot map for the species.
