Synapturanus zombie Fouquet, Leblanc, Fabre, Rodrigues, Menin, Courtois, Dewynter, Hölting, Ernst, Peloso, and Kok, 2021, Zool. Anz., 293: 51. Holotype. MNHN-RA-2020.0091, by original designation. Type locality: "Itoupe, French Guiana (3.0230°N 53.0955°W, ~600 m elevation".

Distribution

Known from the easternmost part of the Guiana Shield: French Guiana (Savane Virginie/Mataroni, Trois Pitons, Saut Maripa, Alikene, Saul, Itoupe, Mont Chauve) and in Amapá, Brazil (Oiapoque and Upper Rio Calçoene).

The original publication addressed osteology, external morphology, advertisement call, and noted where this species had previously been confused with Synapturanus salseri and Synapturanus mirandaribeiroi. Reported as Synapturanus sp.
