Nyctimystes semipalmata Parker, 1936, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 10, 17: 83. Holotype: BMNH 1947.2.24.45 (formerly numbered 1935.3.9.198) according to Condit, 1964, J. Ohio Herpetol. Soc., 4: 97. Type locality: "15 mi. E Mount Victoria .... Kokoda (1200 ft.)", Northern Province, Papua New Guinea.
