Hyla Lesueuri Duméril and Bibron, 1841, Erp. Gen., 6: 595. Syntypes: MNHNP 4845-46, according to Guibé, 1950 "1948", Cat. Types Amph. Mus. Natl. Hist. Nat.: 21. Measurements for only one specimen supplied in original description. Type locality: "port Jackson" (= Sydney), New South Wales, Australia. Junior homonym of Hyla lesueurii Bory de Saint-Vincent, 1828, a nomen oblitum; see discussion by Shea, 2001, J. Herpetol., 35: 338-340.

Hyla oculata Duméril and Bibron, 1841, Erp. Gen., 6: 595. Substitute name for Hyla lesueurii.
