Phyllomedusa venusta Duellman and Trueb, 1967, Copeia, 1967: 128. Holotype: KU 96150, by original designation. Type locality: "1 km west-southwest of the junction of the Río Mono and the Río Tuira, Darién Province, Panamá, elevation 130 m".

Distribution

Forests of Darién on both sides of the Panama-Colombia border and 800–1400 m elevation in the central Magdalena valley of Colombia and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and into the Maracaibo Basin of western Venezuela in the state of Zulia.
