Meristogenys stenocephalus Shimada, Matsui, Yambun Imbun, and Sudin, 2011, Zool. J. Linn. Soc., 161: 173. Holotype: ITBC 12810, by original designation. Type locality: "Ulu Senagang, Crocker Range National Park, Sabah, Malaysia (5° 20′ 40″ N, 116° 01′ 45″ E, 550 m a.s.l.)".

Comment

In the Meristogenys jerboa species group and confused with Meristogenys whiteheadi prior to its naming according to the original publication. Haas, Das, Hertwig, Bublies, and Schulz-Schaeffer, 2022, Guide to the Tadpoles of Borneo: 210–213, summarized the knowledge of habitat, reproduction, larval morphology and coloration.
