Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Longlinchang Village, Jintan Town, Qingyuan City, Guangdong, China) where it lives in mossy rocks and damp forest floors in subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forests and secondary forests at elevations between 200–300 m

Most closely related to Odorrana lipuensis and Odorrana liboensis, according to the mtDNA tree provided in the original publication, where comparative morphology and conservation status were also discussed.
