Comment

The sister taxon of Odorrana hainanensis according to the original publication. Pham, Le, Ngo, and Nguyen, 2020, Acad. J. Biol., 42: 33–40, provided records for Vietnam and discussed morphology and genetic relationship with Odorrana hainanensis and Odorrana bacboensis. Poyarkov, Nguyen, Popov, Geissler, Pawangkhanant, Neang, Suwannapoom, and Orlov, 2021, Russ. J. Herpetol., 28 (3A): 49, for undisclosed reasons doubted the Vietnam records of Pham et al., 2020, suggesting that they are of Odorrana hainanensis.
