Rana (Papurana) aurata Günther, 2003, Mitt. Mus. Naturkd. Berlin, Zool., 79: 208. Holotype: ZMB 58694, by original designation. Type locality: "at 54 km along the Nabire-Mapia road, about 30 km SE of Nabire, 750 m a.s.l., 3° 29′ 517″ S, 135° 43′ 913″ E., Papua, Province of Indonesia". Note that the original latitude and longitudes are impossible and therefore in error and should be corrected to 3° 29.517′ S, 135° 43.913′ E (A. Allison, personal communication).
